The Royal Navy Flower-class Corvette Returns to the 1/700 Water Line Series!

With Germany's rearmament, the United Kingdom anticipated fleet engagements on the open ocean while also placing great importance on localized coastal defense. To meet wartime demands, a small anti-submarine escort vessel based on a whaling ship design was adopted as an emergency wartime construction program.
Orders for the Flower-class corvettes began in 1939, and from 1940 to 1944, 140 vessels were built in the United Kingdom and 123 in Canada. These ships achieved notable success during the war, including the destruction of more than 40 enemy submarines.
This kit is a standalone release of the Flower-class Corvette kit originally included in the 2018 release "Royal Navy Heavy Cruiser Exeter – Atlantic Convoy Escort Operation." Two German Navy U-boats in the same scale are also included.
