The R33 Skyline, fully redesigned and launched on August 19, 1993, carried the nickname “GT9.” Developed under the concept of creating “the ultimate grand‑touring car with exceptional driving performance,” the R33 further evolved the legacy of the previous R32, which had revived the Skyline’s reputation as a true driver’s car. The battery was relocated to the trunk to achieve ideal front‑rear weight distribution, and driving performance was thoroughly refined. At the same time, all models adopted a wider 3‑number body size, greatly improving interior comfort.
