The Japan Maritime Self Defense Force destroyer DD 101 Murasame returns to the 1/700 Waterline Series.
The Murasame is the lead ship of the Murasame class destroyers planned in FY1991 and commissioned on March 12, 1996. As the third generation general purpose destroyer equipped with a helicopter—following the Amagiri class—it is assigned to the 1st Escort Division in Yokosuka. The hull and superstructure feature angled surfaces designed with stealth characteristics in mind. A total of nine ships of this class were built, serving as core assets of the escort fleet alongside their successors, the Takanami class and Akizuki class. This kit is easy to assemble with a low parts count while accurately reproducing the Murasame. A newly designed full color painting guide is included.
