Aoshima’s Waterline Series Renewed with Greater Precision!

Outfitting parts have been newly researched and redesigned. With extensive use of slide molds, this series faithfully reproduces the intricate detail of 1/700 scale ships. Discover the enhanced precision of the renewed Waterline Series.

The 10th ship of the Akizuki-class destroyers, Yoizuki, is now available as a 1/700 scale plastic model kit. Completed in January 1945, Yoizuki is sometimes referred to as a “Fuyuzuki-class” destroyer due to simplified construction, which included modifications to the air intakes around the funnel and the shape below the waterline at the bow. After the war, she served as a repatriation vessel and was later handed over to the Republic of China Navy as a reparation ship. The WL Yoizuki features a well-balanced parts configuration that is simple, easy to assemble, and accurately reproduced. Newly designed fittings such as the distinctive 10 cm high-angle guns of the Akizuki-class and reinforced anti-aircraft armaments have been added.
