The AA City Turbo II debuted in November 1983, replacing the previous City Turbo model. With the addition of an intercooler, its maximum output evolved to 110PS at 5,500rpm. Moreover, it introduced a "Scramble Boost" feature, allowing the turbo pressure to increase by 10% for 10 seconds when the throttle was fully opened at engine speeds below 4,000rpm. On the exterior, it gained blister fenders, unique bumpers, and other exclusive features, becoming the epitome of a fun and radical hot hatch.
