Aoshima’s Waterline series has been reborn with enhanced precision! The fittings have been redesigned, and molds with sliding mechanisms ensure the intricate detail of 1/700 scale models is captured beautifully.
The "Taiyo," initially completed as Nippon Yusen's passenger ship "Kasuga Maru," was later drafted and repurposed into the first auxiliary aircraft carrier. Although it didn't shine in battles, it played a key role in troop and aircraft transport, supporting the frontlines.
This kit transforms the aircraft carrier "Taiyo" into a 1/700 scale plastic model kit. With simple, focused parts and newly added 25mm triple-mounted machine guns, it’s both easy to assemble and exceptionally detailed. It's a fine example of bringing precision and craftsmanship into a model!
